Well done for all those who qualified for the championships and what brilliant results we had. A big thank you to those of you who helped out at the show, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Jamie Wright – 3^rd individual open dressage overall

Wendy Jones – 5^th individual novice dressage in her arena

Mel Richards – 10^th individual novice dressage in her arena

NOVICE SHOWJUMPING TEAM REPORT

Having not qualified for the championships before, the team of Charlotte Ridge, Mandy Chubb, Ian Richards and Laura Wright were very excited to be taking part in the Championships. Ian stepped in at the last minute as a reserve as Karen Guess’s horse was lame. The first round was nerve racking and we went through with 4 faults, two clear rounds came from Charlotte and Mandy. With the jumps up in the second round we needed to up our game especially as it was a timed round. Charlotte went first and was unlucky clipping the last jump but with the fastest 2^nd round time, Ian had an unlucky 12 faults and then Mandy and Laura produced two lovely clear rounds.

Mandy went into the jump off for an individual placing, she went for a nice calm clear round.

Our team went through with 8 faults and came 4^th out of 23 teams. The team were ecstatically happy with the result and hope to be back next year.
